Internationally, DF peppermint is known as English Peppermint. The name D.F. is an abbreviation of the French ‘Double Forte’, which means twice as strong. An appropriate name, because these English peppermints were twice as strong as the Dutch version. D.F. does not stand for ‘Dokkum Fortune’, as many people still think.
